salads. then bacon.

I’ve saved up a few food pictures.

In summer a really nice salad is the best thing. This one has: lettuce, capsicum, orange, red onion, avacado, chicken and fried breadcrumbs.

Salade part deux: lettuce, red onion, avacado, orange, parmesan and walnuts.

And finally, when I came home last night after watching the film ‘Albert Nobbs’ at a tiny theatre in Methven with only five other people there… I had BACON. And toast, and poached eggs and these weird mashed potato things from my grandad’s freezer to replace hash browns.

And it was good.

I’m really liking the whole food photography thing. It’s double gratification for cooking a nice meal.

Salad: spinach, salad greens, spring onion, avacado, red capsicum, walnuts.

Dinner: salad with steak and stuffed mushrooms from lunch, which Mum insisted I make again for tea.

Dessert: watermelon and lime sorbet that I made today.
