purple skies and melting moments

by sophie

I haven’t posted for a few days because I’ve been away in Hanmer Springs, a small alpine village in New Zealand that has natural hot springs. This was one evening when the sky went strangely purple and misty.

See, pretty. While I was there, Boyfriend and I went for lots of bush walks, including a walk to a 40 metre high waterfall.

We also ate lots of good food; roast chicken and pavlova. And we made these Melting Moments; Boyfriend’s favourite treat. Our first time making them. They were perfect.

We had a low key New Year’s in Hanmer; the most eventful occurrence was being yelled at out a car window by a bogan. And on a rainier day we went to the hot pools.

In all, a good break away.
